smell back to a cedar closet

Following is how to get the smell back to a cedar closet:

First of all, you need to understand how the smell got “into” your cedar in the first place.

The beautiful smell of cedar does not actually come from the wood, but from the oil in the wood.

Over time, the oils in your cedar “dry out” and the smell becomes less and less aromatic.

There is not perfect solution to this, but the easiest way to replace the oil is to use a cedar oil spray.

You simply spray the oil on the cedar and rub it in. Although this will not replace all of the oil in the wood, it will replace some of the oil and bring back the aromatic cedar aroma, as well as help repel insects.

Which is better to rejuvenate aromatic cedar for moth
protection – Texas Cedar oil or Eastern Red Cedar oil.
Eastern Red has the traditional aroma of cedar chests
but the two have different concentrations of the active
ingredients cedrol and cedrene. Any information would
be helpful.
