cedar blocks that hang in the closet
How to combat the smell of closet?

I just moved into a new apartment and I noticed a strange smell when I came They replaced all carpets and one of my friends said it was likely that the smell of new carpet that will eventually go. The smell is gone in all apartments with the exception of my wardrobe bedroom and bathroom, both with carpet on them. I currently blocks of cedar in the closets of minor importance and do not work. Also freshener spray there too, but will gradually disappear. I keep the closet door opened some of them in the air, but the smell is still there. I live in the basement in the apartment, so no I'm sure if this has nothing to do with it. Suggestions?

The only thing that comes to mind (other than radio waves cabinets as you said you do) would be put baking soda on the carpet in your closet and let it sit for a day of emptiness as well. Another thing you can do is leave a box of baking soda his locker after treating the carpet. Good luck to you, I hope this is useful. (Edit): forgotten charcoal, very good suggestion from Paul below! I've used before and I I remember it well. I would say there is nothing wrong with baking soda on the carpet and a good vacuum, but less Charcoal is a disaster and could work well for you. Def worth a try.
